Remove Recipient List Subscriptions
List subscription removal should only be used when a recipient was added to a list in error. If a recipient chooses to leave a list, you should always mark that recipient as unsubscribed. The list subscription removal import allows you to work with several lists at one time, and as such is formatted differently from the standard import. Use this document to properly format your file before proceeding with the import.

Removing Recipient List Subscriptions Using Imports
The ‘Remove List Subscriptions’ requires at least two pieces of information in the import file; email address and list(s) indicator. The list indicator will be mapped to the list in which recipients are to be removed from during the import setup process. The format of the file should be similar to:
Or:
jcameron@postup.com,1
The file can have as many columns for lists as you like. Each column will be mapped to a specific list during the import process. The 1 is an indication to the PostUp system that you want to remove this address from the list. To start an import, follow the steps below:
- Go to the Import tab in the PostUp platform and select the ‘Remove List Subscriptions’ import type.
- You can browse for an import file on your local machine or type the address(s) and the list indicator(s) to be removed into the text box.
- Click the Next button to map your data points and configure the remaining import options per the normal import process. Each ‘1’ in the data file will map to the list(s) you wish to remove the recipient from.
- Click the Import button once setup is complete.
Note: When looking up the recipient on the Recipients tab in the PostUp platform, you can verify the list subscription status before and after the import is executed.
